Miss Iceland.UA
This artwork is inspired by the book “Miss Iceland” by the Icelandic author Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir. That is why the artwork’s aesthetic reminds that of a fashion sketch. The face of Miss Iceland here is marked by the traditional element of the Ukrainian motanka doll – the cross. This cross is believed to symbolize connection between the earth and the sky/heaven.
