Translated from Finnish, ‘Tulivuoren Piirroksia’ means ‘volcano’s sketches’. This brand project combines Nordic and Ukrainian visual cultures in creating unique pieces of art and design. The art- and design works revisit some of the Nordic and Ukrainian traditional stories; build new visual links between the modern sonic and visual cultures of Ukraine and the Nordics; playfully imagine closer ties between these regions; and create a unique visual world.

The mark of the visual identity of Tulivuoren Piirroksia is quite literally a digital sketch, created by Lisa Glybchenko. After a while of consideration of other mark and logo designs, Lisa chose a sketch to reflect the personal nature and interests within this project as well as the creative spirit behind the versatility of Tulivuoren Piirroksia. Below, is an analogue play on the digital mark sketch, created after the digital sketch itself.
